Bones Reds Bearings are a high quality skate bearing manufactured using Bones Skate Rated design and high grade materials to achieve a high level of performance and durability. Bones Bearings are known around the world for speed and reliability.
The Reds are the most affordable bearing made by Bones. They are more expensive than most ABEC bearings on the market but should be expected to last much longer due to the design and manufacturing expertise. The Reds are manufactured in China to keep costs low and allow all skaters to try out Bones Skate Rated design.
Bones Reds use a single rubber shield for less friction, resulting in more speed and an easier to service bearing. These bearings are for the skater who wants bearings that are fast, smooth and will last a long time without service- even longer with a few cleanings. It is normal to expect them to last several times longer than most standard ABEC bearings.
"The standard by which all other bearings are measured"
*Skate Rated (better than ABEC rated)- Bones Bearings component parts are engineered and tested to withstand the high impacts of hard landings, the high side loads of turning, and (to the extent possible) the dirt of indoor or outdoor skate environments.

We have tried a lot of bearings, but nothing has held up better than Bones Bearings. A lot of customers who don't want to shell out $100 for the Swiss decide on the Bones Reds and they are never disappointed. Fantastic in outdoor environments, these bearings can handle a lot of abuse with little to no service. If you do decide to service them, they are very easy to work on and you should gain even more life out of them!
The "Skate Rated" design combined with Bones high quality manufacturing results in a very reliable and fast bearing. You can find the same Skate Rated design in the Bones Swiss and Bones Super Reds. The Swiss will stay solid longer, due to higher quality components and Swiss Manufacturing, but to feel the same technology for a lower price, the Super Reds and Reds will provide a great experience at almost half the cost, though in the long term, we feel the Swiss will provide the longest life.
